After recently taken some vacation time with the owners of this retreat, and having visited Dominica previously, I wouldn't hesitate to focus a vacation in or at the "Rainforest Retreat".

Between the 2+ hours of yoga each day, the refreshing swimming pool, home cooked island meals, and the excursions to waterfalls, coral reefs, hot springs, etc. it was the most relaxing vacation I can remember!! This was not a vacation. It was a treat! Dominica was spectacular and Rainforest Retreat was the perfect place to set oneself down to explore this lovely island paradise. Rachel and Oliver were the perfect hosts - not overbearing but they made us feel comfortable and very much at home.
Our cabin was comfy and very airy - the birds sang us to sleep each night and the cool, island nightime breezes kept us comfortable all night long.
